About Dr. Cohen: Dr. Cohen is a 1979 graduate of Boston University School of Medicine, Boston, Massachusetts. He served both his internship and residency at Children's Hospital in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Cohen is board certified and is an AAAI Fellow. He is a traveled lecturer with fellowships at American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Allergists, and American Academy of Allergy and Immunology, and has numerous professional society affiliations, as well as 6 major hospital affiliations. We have three convenient locations in San Diego, Encinitas, and Coronado, California, to make your experience as positive as possible. Our main office hours are 8:00 a.m to 4:30 p.m. weekdays by appointment. Your calls to our office are important; all calls are triaged to the appropriate person to answer your questions. That person may be a physician, physician assistant, or you may receive a call from any one of our highly trained and qualified medical staff. After your initial consult, if tests and labs are ordered, the physician will review results with you at your summary visit. Allergy test results are generally not discussed by phone because there are far too many options available that should be thoroughly reviewed in person. We accept most major insurances and work closely with many IPA's to ensure prompt referrals when needed. We do not refill prescriptions if there has been no "Good Faith" exam performed within a reasonable or medically necessary time period.
